We congratulate the fourteen children who received their First Holy Communion on Saturday, 11 May at 10:30 am. The Mass was attended by parents and relatives who watched with great pride as the children led the readings and renewed their baptismal promises before finally receiving their First Holy Communion with their families.

The children had been attending preparatory classes every fortnight in the parish room which were led by a group of catechists comprising Barbara and Terry Toolan and Elpida Mallaci-Bocchio, under the direction of Fr Antonio. The parents also had their own catechetical classes to help them in their role of being the “first teachers” in their children’s lives, a role that all parents commit to when their children are baptised.
