The Bishops of England and Wales have stated (over two years ago now) that the pause in the absolute duty for Catholics to attend Mass on Sundays and Days of Obligation has come to an end. This means that all Catholics not prevented by advanced age/disability or illness are once more under an obligation to attend Mass on these days. Therefore, unless you fall into one of the above categories, know that live-streamed Masses do not fulfil your Sunday obligation. The parish live streams and records all Masses as a pastoral service to our aged and housebound parishioners, those who are ill, or for those abroad who are not able to attend special occasions such as weddings and funerals.
