I was born in the Philippines and I grew up in London. I gained my first degree in business and management studies at the University of Salford and later completed a masters degree in digital media in London Metropolitan University. My employment history includes being a publicity assistant for the London Borough of Newham, a communications officer for Caritas Manila and the Royal College of Nursing, and a web editor for Brunel University.

I thought that my MA in digital media would be my final dabble in education, but God had other ideas. I was accepted for priestly training in 2011 when Archbishop Vincent Nichols sent me to Rome for seven years of formation at the Venerable English College, the national seminary for England and Wales.

Highlights of my training in Rome include altar serving for Pope Francis twice, including at the consistory Mass following Archbishop Vincent Nichols’ appointment as cardinal. I also loved studying with different seminarians from countries all over the world, whose friendships I have kept to this day.

While in Rome, I studied Philosophy at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (2011–2013) and Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University (2013-2016). After that, I went back to the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas to study for my Licentiate in Spiritual Theology. On completion, I was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Westminster on 28 July 2018 in my home parish, St George’s Church, Sudbury.

My first parish assignment was in Borehamwood where I stayed for two years. In November 2020, I moved to Bishop’s Stortford, where I ministered for three further years as assistant priest. During those five years as assistant priest, I had particular responsibility for the catechetical programmes including First Holy Communion, Confirmation and RCIA. I enjoyed working with the local schools to instil a love of the faith in the young, and actively promoted the ministry of altar serving.

In 2023, I was delighted when Cardinal Vincent Nichols assigned me to Headstone Lane. It was like going home as it is in the same deanery as my home parish of Sudbury.

When not praying or celebrating Mass, I turn to my many passions to keep me inspired. These include reading and collecting books. I particularly enjoy reading epic fantasies and collecting classics and children’s books. Technology is another big passion. I love desktop publishing (designing various publications) and creating websites.
