All church volunteers are now required to complete an online safeguarding training.

The online Safeguarding Training is available on the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) website. The CSSA have made training mandatory for all clergy, staff, and volunteers. The online training is well suited to the parish setting. The CSSA designed the learning site so that training for all roles complete the same level of training – Level 3 – regardless of role.

We ask that all other volunteers in our parish complete the CSSA level 3 module and then let Sylvester Gomes (our Parish Safeguarding Representative) know that you have completed it so that he can update our parish records.

It would be great if everyone in the parish could do this training so that we really are a parish where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Please do inform Sylvester or the parish office when you have completed it so that we can demonstrate to our external auditors that the parish is taking the responsibility of safeguarding seriously.
